  •  Hand Painting
  •  Glass Blowing
  •  Glass Casting
  •  Glass Fusing
  •  Sandblasting

  Why should you choose Arcadia?
What sets an Arcadia leadlight apart from any other is our extensive knowledge of architectural and design periods in Australia, and the expertise we put into each design. And because we stock an extensive range of contemporary and period glass-including rare glass and glass out of manufacture—the design possibilities really are endless.
  Period or  Contemporary design?
When it comes to recreating an antique design or restoring or repairing a period window, our design and technical skills are unmatched. We offer an expert reproduction, restoration and repair service and can save even the most badly damaged or time-ravaged stained glass windows.
Or if like many of our clients, you’re looking for an authentic period design to suit your period home, but you want to choose your own colors and details, we can work closely with you to create a custom design that reflects your own ideas but is truly in keeping with the period.
While the team at Arcadia are Australia’s period experts, we also produce quality contemporary leadlights and stained glass. We’ll work with your personal vision and recommend techniques to transform your living or working space or convey a spiritual message for your church or chapel.
Who are the team at Arcadia?
Arcadia Leadlight & Stained Glass is a partnership between glass artists Carrie Westcott and Kim Lester.

Carrie Westcott (BFA) graduated from Monash University, Melbourne in 1988 with a major in hot glass, and completed a Diploma of Interior Design at The Melbourne College of Decoration in 1980.
Carrie has been leadlighting for almost 25 years and has been a pioneer in the rediscovery of leadlighting in Australia. Carrie is considered to be one of Australia’s leading period style leadlight designers, having created superbly designed and crafted windows for countless traditional homes across Melbourne. Over the years Carrie has collected an archive of authentic designs that is the source of inspiration for our clients.

What’s more, Carrie is a professional glass blower and can custom make unique components for contemporary glass designs, as well as being able to recreate unavailable components for heritage leadlights.
Kim Lester (BFA) graduated from Monash University Melbourne in 1986 with a stained glass major and has worked in the leadlight industry for nearly 20 years.
Kim has completed numerous contemporary stained glass commissions for private homes and churches. His distinctly original style stems from his own techniques in fusing, casting and designing with handblown glass, often in close collaboration with the client over the design.
Kim is an expert glass painter who has mastered the art of painting faces, figures, and other pictorial elements on glass, and has restored numerous hand painted heritage stained glass panels.
